Update: My new role at work and my improving mental health! (March/April 2025)

 Hey all,

For the last few years, especially fall 2024 to early winter 2025, my mental health had not been good. It all came to a head in the beginning of 2025. I was crying a lot and not feeling happy. Luckily, my shrink put me back on an antidepressant that has worked well for me before and I am a new woman! I feel way better and I feel more chipper! The depression has been greatly decreased!

Besides my improving mental health, I am now in a new role at work! I had been a housewares stocker for many of my 6 years at the thrift store I work at, and I had been enjoying it, but I needed a change of pace. I started my new role of bagwall sorter in the last month! My supervisor and other management have all kinds of praise for what I am doing! 

I love doing bagwall! What is bagwall? In housewares, bagwall is the section with grab bags that is hung on the walls. Bed and Bath, as well as electronics have a bagwall section as well, but at my work, the largest bagwall dept. is the housewares bagwall. It comprises of toys, as well as the non toy bagwall, which are: kitchen items, cutlery, art and crafts, office supplies, home decor and trinkets, pet supplies (some of the bigger items, such as big toys and dog clothes go elsewhere) tools and bath accessories. I don't just bag the items, I price them as well! My supervisor says I am crushing it and I am kicking ass daily!

My supervisor is very happy with my item putout! She has been especially impressed with this week's totals. She says keep up the good work! I am so grateful for this change of pace. This is a role I was hoping to be trained in for awhile. I have proven in just a month that I am up to the task. Work is so exciting now that I'm doing something different!
