autism acceptance 2: No two autistics are alike!

 One autistic person can't speak for all autistic people. What might be your story might not be the story of another autistic person. Sometimes you have different needs from day to day or even differing needs throughout the day. 

No two autistics are alike!

Some are non verbal, some are not. Some need a lot of help doing tasks NTs take for granted. Some autistics are largely independent but might need help with things such as emotional regulation.

I don't pretend to speak for all autistics because every autistic person is different, but I do want to put it out there that I will stand up at the podium to provide a platform for autistic people to provide their voices. Too often autistic people are not the voice of their disability. A lot of experts on autism are not actually autistic. Autistic people are NOT stupid. We all have beauty and we wish to express our thoughts and feelings even if it is different for every autistic and is often very different from the way that NTs do.
